When a person dies leaving assets in Israel, a probate order is required in order for his heirs or legatees to inherit such deceased person. When the deceased was at his death a domiciliary of a jurisdiction other than Israel, the Israeli law will apply the law of the domicile to his succession, unless such law refers back to the Israeli law (renvoi). Foreign law considered a matter of fact, the court demands a legal opinion of the foreign law.
MVC Law Office engages in probate proceedings (both amicably and in litigation) and we have gained a great deal of experience providing our services to successors of foreign deceased. Where the deceased was domiciliary of any US jurisdiction, MVC Law office will handle the probate proceeding and Eddy Meiri will provide the necessary legal opinion required by the court.
